Reflecting on yourself as an individual (a rather Modern concept)… how do you think? I am a positive and problem-solving thinker. I like to figure out alternative solutions in a simplified manner. Forecasting and finding patterns is another way that I think. Working with people allows me to scan the room, analyze, and come up with potential solutions to possible issues.

How do you learn?  My personal learning style is a hands-on approach. I need to be able to visualize and "hold" an item to understand it. What I mean by that is I have to change an inanimate object and manifest them in my mind to problem solve. I know this sounds like most, but here is an example. Chemistry. Molecules can not be seen but having a visual aid or a model, allows me to problem solve it better than just doing a calculation alone.

How has your adjustment to pandemic life been? My adjustment has been a positive one. I am an optimistic person and have been busy with working full time and going to school with at last 12 units or more every semester; including summer sessions. My outlet is during the weekend with I HAVE to get out of the house! LOL    I like to go for a drive and drop the windows and open up the sunroof and have some fresh smokey air.

How has the person you are been conditioned by the place and time in which you experience existence? Greatly!!  Let me explain. I made a conscious decision to move to San Francisco. To embark on finding myself, being in the now, and experience life at the moment. Having come from Arizona where life was not for me, nor the pace and lifestyle, making a leap of faith was the best thing I could have ever done. I literally have on my car when moving tot he bay, "San Francisco or BUST!" was a freeing and enlightening moment in my life. Moving here has allowed me to focus more on myself and be PRESENT. This PRESENCE has allowed to me how and become more empathic towards others to see the bigger picture of life.

Reflect on your personal journey (also a rather Modern concept)… where is there movement in your life?  The movement in my life is all around me. As I mentioned, my life is extremely busy with advancement projects; whether it is becoming more proficient at my job, learning new ways to help others, going to school full time, and working on a project to start a business venture. Throughout these movements, learning is my constant. Having to stay appraised of the newest laws, regulations, and technology to enhance my performance has kept me in the NOW = Modern life.

Where is there stasis? I am the type of person to always have something going on in the sense of not ever being bored. I am blessed to have all my closest friends in the same city, just in the next neighborhood to be exact. I also had the privilege of having my sister move to San Francisco as well. All of these factors that are close by and in my life have kept my life from becoming mundane and stagnant. If anything, I believe that even with COVID changing everyone's world, having close people to talk to and even see (of course 6 ft apart) definitely has helped enrich my life and kept me going during this pandemic.

What are your aspirations, and do you see them playing out in a world you would describe as “modern”? I aspire to continue to learn, to get to know myself more, and more importantly, find peace within and stop to smell the roses. of course, I want to become more successful in work, education and business but having the chance to be me is far more valuable then anything else.
